What Is Logos Legacy Theatre?
Our Mission:
To cultivate a generation of storytellers who honor the power of the written Word of God, proving that we are not merely hearers of the Word, but doers. James 1:22
Logos:
This is what we stand for. We believe that the Word of God is the foundation of all that we do. Everything we do is anchored in the Word of God in order to be a testimony for Jesus Christ.
Legacy:
Our goal is to carry on the traditions and methodologies developed by Mrs. Ruth Andrus in her career as a drama director.
We believe that drama is about learning how to serve. We will learn about God, then we will learn about ourselves, and in the process, we will learn about theatre. This class is about developing life skills that translate into everything we do in life.
Theatre:
Theatre is what we do. We will learn the ins and outs of how a production works, and the skills needed to function as a team that produces dramas. Each year we will put on two productions. We will produce stories dramatized with excellence, achieving this by learning how to analyze both the story and the characters. Time will be invested into each production allowing us to truly understand the meaning of each play.
Class Details
Class Director: Kathy Boes
Class Meeting Time: Wednesday 1:00pm – 3:15pm, September 2, 2026 through May 26, 2027
Class Location: Revelation Pointe Church, 6446 Belmont Ave NE, Belmont, MI 49306
Class Fee: $500 ($100 deposit due 8/3/2026- deposit is applied to class fee).
Facility Fee: $100 – per student, per year; max $200 for family. Payment made out directly to Revelation Pointe Church.
Payments: Payments can be made in full, or in 2 payments with 1/2 due at the start of class, September 2, 2026, and the other half due on January 20, 2027.
IMPORTANT: This class requires more contact time than the weekly Wednesday class period. As we begin to work on each production, the Wednesday class period will increase to an end time of 4:00pm or 4:30pm.
ADDITIONALLY – Small group rehearsals will be required, depending on the part the student is cast in for each production. Small group rehearsals will be held on Thursday and Friday afternoons, from 12:30pm – 3:30pm.
TECH WEEK is MANDATORY for all class members and will take place the week before each production.
